Head Back to School With a Kitchen Clean Sweep

End of summer cleaning doesn’t have quite the same ring to it like it does in the spring, but think of this like your halfway check point. What things have you been holding on to or accumulating? Since summer vacations are wrapping up, school is about to be back in session, or entering another season let’s take a second to do a “clean sweep” of our kitchens to set us up for another whirlwind season.
Pantry
- Check expiration dates.
- Get rid of/donate food that you don’t care for.
- Clean up any crumbs/spills/leaks.
- Organize by grouping like things together.
Refrigerator
- Check expiration dates.

Cabinets/Drawers/Appliances
- Does everything have a lid that should?
- Sharpen knife set.
- Organize by grouping like things together.
- Clean any residue or buildup that has accumulate on or in appliances.
- Empty the toaster crumb tray.
- Clean the inside of the oven and microwave.
- Declutter the counter space.
