Cherry Dutch Baby
Pull out the cast iron pan for this easy breakfast or dessert treat for a quick and delicious seasonal delight.
What You Need
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- ½ c. milk
- 3 eggs
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. Vanilla extract
- ½ c. all-purpose flour
- Pinch of salt
- 1 cup Cherries, pitted
- Optional toppings: Whipped Cream, ice cream, slivered almonds, maple syrup, powdered sugar
How It’s Made:
- Preheat oven to 425
- Melt butter in a 10-inch cast iron skillet and place the skillet in the oven while you mix up the batter
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, sugar, and vanilla until well combined
- Whisk in the flour and salt and mix until the batter is mostly smooth
- Remove the skillet from the oven and pour in batter
- Place back into oven and bake for 20 minutes, until golden and puffed on the sides
- Reduce the oven temperature to 300°F and continue baking for another 5 minutes
- Remove from the oven and let cool completely
- Enjoy as breakfast or dessert
