Plant Forward Grilled Salad with Tahini Caesar Dressing
We love choosing all sorts of plants this time of year. It keeps things light on the wallet with all of the sales, and light on the table. This plant forward salad is a perfect way to start a meal or add a protein and make it the main entree.
What You Need
- 2 head Hearts of Romaine Lettuce
- ½ loaf Sourdough Bread
- 2 Tbsp. Olive oil
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 4 Tbsp Tahini
- ½ tsp Miso paste (or salt)
- 4 Tbsp Lemon juice
- 2 tsp Dijon mustard
- 2 Tbsp nutritional yeast (or parmesan cheese)
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- Pinch of Paprika
- Pepper
- Water
- Optional: grilled chicken or shrimp
How It’s Made:
- Preheat Grill
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Cut Romaine heads in half and place on grill to get grill marks
- Cube sourdough bread sprinkle with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder and place in oven for 15-20 minutes
- To make the dressing combine tahini, miso paste, lemon juice, dijon, nutritional yeast, garlic powder, paprika, and pepper. Use water to thin to desired consistency
- Place lettuce grill mark side up, sprinkle on croutons and drizzle with dressing
