That’s why our Health & Wellness team has worked to help have identified Market Street items storewide with twelve little health tags to help you create one healthier basket. Saying “no” to gluten? No problem! Our orange health tag helps you identify gluten-free products around the whole supermarket.
When looking at a food label here are the ingredients/foods to avoid: barley, bran, bulgar, chapati flour, couscous, durum, einkorn, emmer, farina, farro, hardeum, vulgare, hydrolyzed wheat, karnut, malt, maltzo, rye, seitan, spelt, semolina, tabbouleh, triticale, udan, vital wheat gluten, wheat.
Did you know gluten can be used in a plethora of products that one may not think to look at? Such as: playdough, lipsticks, tomato soup, artificial extracts, toothpaste, miso, brown rice syrup, baking powder, vitamins and supplements. Always be sure to read the labels and choose appropriately!
